A Georgia woman could lose her home for failing to pay less than $100 in unpaid taxes which she didn’t even know was owed.

As Raw Story reports, Xui Lui purchased her two-bedroom condominium in Norcross with cash in 2011.  She paid her city and county taxes each year, except the first. Certified letters warning her of an outstanding balance of $94.85 were returned to the city because of an incorrect address.

Last week Lui received a notice informing her that the condo where she lives with her daughter, 4, has been sold at auction and she must vacate by November 25.

“Someone can rob your house, rob your property? This is not American style, right?” she said.

City officials have admitted the auction was likely their error and have said, they would try to fix the situation, according to news reports.
