Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, slated to open later this year, will soon be advertising hundreds of jobs in clinical and research areas.
Rick Kennedy, senior human resources business partner, says the jobs will be posted on a career page on the website: nemours.org, within the next week or so.
In this youtube video posted today, Kennedy explains Nemours would be looking to hire not only people with clinical/technical skills, but as well, behavioral skills.
Prospective candidates should look for postings that make sense for them and then post their resumes on line, he elaborated. Individuals will also be asked to take a behavioral assessment.
“Look at the posting and your resume and see where they match up,” Kennedy advises. “The more you align your experience and skills to specific postings.. the more likely you will be called.”
Kennedy expects there will be a fairly competitive candidate pool for which new hires would be drawn.
Located in close proximity to the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Burnham Institute for Medical Research and the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the 95-bed Nemours Children’s Hospital promises to be a state-of-the art facility, featuring a children’s clinic, emergency department, diagnostic and ambulatory programs along with education and research centers.
The $380 million hospital is expected to open later in 2012.
