The FBI and other law enforcement officers are continuing a manhunt for three Florida siblings who are suspects in the attempted murder of a Zephyrhills, Florida police officer and armed bank robbery in Georgia.
21-year-old Ryan Edward Dougherty, 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty Stanley, and 29-year-old Lee Grace E. Dougherty, took a Zephyrhills patrol officer on a chase during a pursuit on August 2, around 7:00 a.m.
As the patrol officer pursued the 2006 Subaru Impreza, bearing New York license tag “FBE 5900”, the siblings began to shoot at the officer, subsequently disabling the patrol car. Multiple calibers were used during the shooting, police say.
That same day, August 2, the three suspects, Ryan, Dylan and Lee Grace, are believed to have robbed a Certus Bank in Valdosta, Georgia.
Investigators say, the three, dressed in black with masks, entered the bank through the front entrance. As they entered, shots were fired toward the ceiling and everyone in the bank was instructed to get down. At least two of the robbered brandished weapons, one described as being an AK-47 type assault rifle and the other a machine pistol.
While two of the suspects brandished weapons, the third robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money. All three robbers departed the Certus Bank in an older model white, 4-door sedan.
Ryan Dougherty, Dylan Dougherty Stanley and Lee Grace E. Dougherty are believed to be armed and dangerous, law enforcement say.
Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies plan to seek another warrant for Ryan, who they say, has failed to register as a sexual offender in that county.
