The Tampa Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide after two people were found dead.
Officers recently responded to a crime scene at approximately 12:54pm in the afternoon and located an adult female and an adult male, both deceased inside a residence at the 2400 block of W Texas Avenue in Tampa.
Based on preliminary investigation, detectives believe the man shot the woman before dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances that led up to the incident but early information indicates the two individuals were in a relationship.
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
