Motorcyclist Killed in I-4 Crash

A man was killed early on Tuesday morning after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a pick-up truck on Interstate 4.

Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. on I-4 near State Road 417 in Seminole County.

Troopers said a car, driven by Justin Adams, 29, of Sorrento, was traveling westbound in the center lane when it was rear-ended by the motorcycle. Troopers said, the motorcyclist was driving at a high rate of speed.

The 28-year-old unnamed driver of the motorcycle was thrown onto the I-4.

At least one other vehicle ran over the motorcyclist and did not stop, troopers said. The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Adams sustained no injuries as a result of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against the driver that ran over the motorcyclist.
