Motorcyclist Dies in Conway Road Crash with Car

A motorcyclist was killed in Orange County Monday night, when the driver of a Cadillac turned into the direct path of the Harley Davidson Mitsubishi.

The accident happened on Conway Road near Parkside Driver around 7:00 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said, a 1990 Cadillac, driven by 31-year-old John Barton, of Orlando, was travelling south on Conway Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Parkside Drive.

That’s when Barton turned into the direct path of 21-year-old Johnathan McAnAllen, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, who was travelling north on Conway Road. The front of the motorcycle struck the right side of the Cadillac.

McAnAllen was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet.

Barton was not injured in the crash.

Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

  1. A “Honda Mitsubishi”??? He was riding a Harley Sportster. You also failed to mention he was traveling somewhere between 80 – 100 mph in a 40 mph zone, racing against another Sportster. He was a long ways off when that Cadillac started to turn. This article makes it sound like it was Barton’s fault.

  2. It shouldn’t matter who was at fault… A young mans life was takin, he was trying to make something of himself, n gets killed on his 21st bday, weeks away from graduating college. Have a heart!

  3. Who was/is at fault is pretty irrelevant and petty. A man lost his life that night. That is the important part. R.I.P. JT.

  4. RIP Jonathan, we’re gonna miss you. You were taken from us way too soon. We’re all so lost… no one knows what to do… please watch down on us….

  5. We love u and miss u jmac. Even if you were racing this is still a tragic loss and is not justified.

  6. To whom ever said he was doing 85-100 mph. Funny now that the state police and the vehicle homicide report is completed. It states he was traveling at 53 MPH, and the driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol. Oh, we also failed to mention this would violate the drivers parole. And his DUI in 2010……Did we mention he did not have the proper auto insurance and lied to the insurance company about that too? And one more thing, view his mug shot on Google because he happens to be in jail again for violating his parole again for possession of cocaine…………So a young man losses his like because this drunk guy pulled in front of him and some said it was JTs faut…….but the only witness in report was the one who stated “it sounded like he was racing” and “ he must have been doing 85-100mph”………………………………………………………………
