A Mirimar man died Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a deer in Lake County near, troopers said.
The crash occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on State Road 19 near Sunset Strip.
Bruce L. Pelish, 57, was traveling north when he hit the deer, which caused the 2002 Harley Davidson to go down, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Pelish, who was wearing a helmet died on the spot. The deer also died from the impact of the motorcycle.
Robert Gomez, 58, of Hollywood, who was also traveling north on State Road 19 on a 209 Harley Davidson, also went down, after hitting Pelish’s motorcycle.
Gomez sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
