Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, a division of Universal Technical Institute, Inc. — a leading provider of technical education training for students seeking careers as professional automotive, collision repair, diesel, marine and motorcycle technicians — will host award-winning travel writer and motorcycle tour expert Gary McKechnie in a free community event titled, “For the Love of the Ride: The Best Places in the U.S. to Visit on Two Wheels.” The event will take place Thursday, August 29 at 7 p.m. at the Motorcycle Mechanics’ Institute’s Orlando campus.
From the rocky coasts of Maine to the deep forests of Washington, McKechnie has traveled tens of thousands of miles to discover the best rides in the nation – resulting in his best-selling guidebook, Great American Motorcycle Tours. He will share the stories behind his journeys, revealing the top U.S. destinations to see on two wheels.
“As part of our efforts to prepare students for entry into the fast-growing motorcycle industry, we regularly introduce them to successful people like Gary who have made a rewarding career out of following their passion,” said Steve McElfresh, president of UTI’s Orlando campus, which includes the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Marine Mechanics Institute. “We believe Gary’s story will inspire students as well as members of our community to pursue their dreams.”
