Mother’s Day is upon us again and this is one holiday that everyone can partake in. It’s not really about the gift’s, I mean really, what could you possibly give the person who gave you life and wiped your dirty little nose right?
But just in case you’re in need of a few ideas I have some for every budget.
Before we get into the gift ideas let me just share this with some of you whose moms are no longer here. You can still honor her with flowers and also by sharing this special day with perhaps, a special friend who has been there for you as a mother; your expressions of thanks and love would be greatly appreciated. So don’t let this stop you from embracing Mother’s Day.
Another great idea is to visit a local nursing home and take flowers and pass them out to a few of the mothers.  But, make sure to call ahead to see if this is ok. You would be surprised at the number of mothers there that have no one to visit or to acknowledge them. Not only will this encourage them, but you will feel better too.
Now let’s get down to business.
Don’t know what to get your mom, or maybe you know what she wants but it’s not within your budget? Here are a few things that any mom would love.
First you can never go wrong with flowers. Find out her favorite and send them directly, or place them in a nice vase if you can. Always place the flowers in a vase as they present better, along with a heartfelt card. Moms love the cards, most.
Second gift idea. Anything in one of those tiny little robin egg blue boxes. You know what I’m talking about? Tiffany’s. It could be a paper clip, as long as it’s in a Tiffany’s box, right? Tiffany has a several pieces any mom would find delightful, as well as, stylish.
What about the mom that loves to read? The Kindle, Nook and most certainly the iPad will make great gifts for those moms who love to read and surf the web.
For the movie loving mom in your life, an AMC gift card for movies and popcorn, for those evenings she wants to catch a movie and eat popcorn.
And lastly give mom a little R & R–a complete spa package with massage, pedicure, manicure, the works, to totally spoil her.
These are just a few ideas to help you celebrate the most important woman on earth, MOM.
Whatever you decide to do for mom or that special mother figure in your life, as long as it’s done with love and comes from the heart, I’m sure mom will be happy.
