It was nine years ago that 22-year-old Kelly Ann Balderas was found slain in her motel room. Kelly’s mother, Diana Bryan, will be holding a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:00p.m. to honor Kelly Ann. The vigil will be at the corner of Damon Street and E. Vine Street in Kissimmee.

On March 6, 2004, Kelly’s body was found at approximately 4:00 p.m. in her hotel room at the former Breeze Inn which was located at 900 E. Vine Street in Kissimmee. Kelly was found by the hotel manager while he was checking on her wellbeing, as Kelly’s friends had not seen her in three days. There were obvious signs of trauma to her body.

Kelly was known to frequent the area of E. Vine Street and Main Street in Kissimmee. Chief Lee Massie takes the same position as former Chief Iwanski indicating that the case is still active. “We will continue to look into the facts of this case. Someone knows what happened to Kelly Ann,” explains Chief Massie, “It is time for that person to come forward and help bring closure to Kelly Ann’s family.”
