A 25-year-old Winter Haven woman is now behind bars, charged with 24 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
Darlene Pierre, who is now pregnant with her four child, was arrested Wednesday, at her Winter Haven home. Police say, the father is a 15-year-old boy.
The investigation began after the boy’s mother contacted police when Pierre announced she was pregnant and the teen was the father. Pierre was a family friend who visited the boy’s home, along with her small children frequently, police said.
The teen told police the sexual encounters began in January 2011, when he was 15 years old. Pierre told a different story; she said they began in February 2012. The encounters were inside the boy’s home, at a park and even inside a backyard shed.
Pierre told investigators, she and the teen feared the small children would find out about the encounters, so they moved their sexual activity to an outside shed at least 15 times between March and May 2012.
Pierre was booked into the Polk County Jail and charged with 24 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She is being held on a $120,000 bond.
