A woman was found shot dead multiple times in a home early on Sunday morning, with her 2-year-old son unharmed, Orange County deputies said.
An activated alarm led investigators to a home in the 8600 block of Forrest Run Lane in the Dr. Phillips area around 5:30 a.m. That’s where they found a woman shot and killed in her bedroom. Investigators also found the victim’s toddler unharmed in the residence.
The victim has been identified as Jorgete Acarie, 43-years-old.
Investigators spent much of Sunday carting away potential evidence from the residence. It is unknown at this time whether the residence was burglarized.
