Deputies have released the name of the 21-year-old woman who stabbed her mother to death on Monday night outside a home on Orange County’s westside.
21-year-old Meagan Jones is believed to have stabbed her mother, Linda Jones, 65, to death, after the two women got into an altercation outside a home in the 3800 block of Weetamoo Circle off Lake Genie and N. Apopka Vineland Road on Orange County’s westside.
According to deputies, the mother and daughter got into an argument inside the home, then moved outside to a vehicle in the driveway. Â That’s where the argument turned violent and investigators say, Meagan stabbed her mother.
Linda Jones was taken to Orlando Health/Health Central where she died of her injuries.
During the fight, Meagan received a laceration in her leg and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. Later she was booked into the Orange County Jail.
Jones has been charged with first degree murder with a weapon.
The investigation is ongoing.
