Marion County authorities say a woman and her 27-year-old son are facing drug charges after agents seized about 110 marijuana plants from their homes this week.
Michael Lopez and 51-year-old Nancy Smith have been taken to the Marion County Jail. The pair faces several charges.
According to agents, authorities smelled marijuana in Lopez’ home and removed about 80 plants after a search. Investigators then found about 30 plants after searching Smith’s home.
Lopez and Smith aren’t the only group of family members to face marijuana charges in Marion County this year. Last month, officials found 205 marijuana plants at the homes of a 48-year-old Ocala man and his 30-year-old son.
