The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments March 26, 27 and 28 in the Florida-led challenge to the federal health overhaul, according to SCOTUSblog.
The hearings will stretch over 5 ½ hours and will focus heavily on the so-called “individual mandate,” which will require almost all Americans to have health coverage in 2014 or pay financial penalties.
Florida, joined by 25 other states and the National Federation of Independent Business, has challenged the constitutionality of the mandate and another part of the law that will lead to an expansion of Medicaid eligibility.
