Black people are always being accused of play “The Race Card”! However, it seems to me to be, in some instances, a case of the pot calling the kettle a cooking utensil.
Recently, a white New York cop shot and killed a Black cop because the Black plain clothed officer was chasing a Hispanic man that allegedly attempted to break into the Black cop’s car. Should every person dressed in plain clothes be shot if they carry a gun or just Black men?
Also, not too long ago, another white woman blamed an imaginary Black man of kidnapping her and her daughter. This scenario has been played out time and time again and, as usual, the white woman was believed until the facts proved she was lying.
If we play “The Race Card” when we allege discrimination, predatory lending victimization, gerrymandering or over prosecution, what do you call it when whites violate laws and blame Blacks for the crimes that they commit?
How many Black folks have been reprimanded, suspended, incarcerated, hung, shot or otherwise hurt by racially motivated lies, rumors and innuendos?
A lot!
And, why are Black folk mad about it? Well, they are mad because there is no justice.
What do you think will happen to you if you commit a crime and falsely accuse a white person for the law violation? What would happen to a Black law enforcement officer that shoots a white cop in a white community?
Well, my experience has been if you falsely accuse someone when questioned by police, you get punished to the full extent of the law. And, if you merely raise your hand against a white law man when other officers are around it would not be unusual for you to get shot and killed.
There are liars and criminals of every race, creed and color. Most Americans and other world citizens desire justice. Treat law violators the same way. If I commit a crime, I should do the time. If others obstruct justice by being a vigilante or by making false statements in criminal investigations they should be jailed.
“The Race Card” is not a card. To some it is standard operating procedure. Blame it on the Bla-aaa-aak person.
