A body found in a burning car of a house which went up in flames off Beggs Road early on Thursday morning is that of a missing 65-year-old man, Orange County deputies said.
Frank Albert Wright, 65, was last seen early on Wednesday morning around 7:00 a.m, after leaving home to drop off his catch at McQueen. Wright’s wife and son told investigators it was late in the afternoon and neither could reach him by cell phone, which was unusual.
Investigators believe that Wright did make it to the residence at 309 McQueen after he left 631 Maxey Avenue to drop of his catch.
In seemingly unrelated developments, Fire Rescue was called to 7466 Radiant Circle off Beggs Road in Sumemerbrook subdivision early on Thursday morning to put out a house fire.
Once the fire was put out, Fire Rescue officials discovered a body in a car in the garage which was also ablaze. The Medical Examiner has identified the body as that of missing Frank Wright.
On Friday, Wright’s truck and boat/trailer were discovered in the Winter Park jurisdiction at 1701 Lee Road, investigators said. His boat (pictured) is a 15 foot aluminum Basstrac silver chrome with red/black stripes. It had a 50 HP outboard motor. His truck (pictured) is a 2006 Grey Ford F 150, with Florida tag # TL1YS.
Investigators said too, the car in which Wright’s body was found – a Honda Accord- was stolen from the Carver Shores area.
Anyone who may have seen Wright’s truck and boat combo anytime on Wednesday or early Thursday morning is urged to contact law enforcement and advise on where it was seen and/or who may have been driving it. Investigators are trying to recreate Wright’s steps prior to his murder.
Anyone who has information on this crime is strongly urged to call Crimeline at # 1-800-423-TIPS.
