Orlando police said investigators have recovered the cell phone of missing Orlando mother Michelle Parker.
Police would not disclose the date on which the phone was found or the location where it was discovered. But, they did say it was found in “remarkable good condition and it is currently undergoing forensic testing in the hopes that it will yeild physical evidence which will assist in their investigation.”
Parker, 33, a mother of three children, went missing on November 17, and has not been seen since. The recovery of her cell phone is the next significant item located since her vehicle, which was located the day after she disappeared.
Police said, Parker’s phone was identified by family members and the serial number confirmed that it is her phone.
“They literally just found a needle in a haystack,” Parker’s sister Lauren Erickson said, WFTV reports.
Initially set up on Oakridge Road near Orange Avenvue, an area close to where Parker’s phone was last detected, the family command center was moved to The Barn restaurant in Sanford where Michelle worked as a bartender.
Investigators said, Parker’s ex-fiance Dale Smith, Jr., is the prime suspect in her disappearance.
