Michael Jackson: Death by Drugs?

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has now joined the Michael Jackson investigation and it is being reported that several doctors who attended the King of Pop are under scrutiny.

A few days ago, LAPD removed several bags from Jackson’s home and there are reports that the powerful drug, Propoful or Diprivan was found in the room in which the pop star went into cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, California nutritionist and registered nurse, Cherilyn Lee has said that during the time that she advised Jackson on his diet several months ago, he repeatedly requested Diprivan from her.    Wisely, she rejected his request for the drug.

Cherilyn Lee said that she warned Jackson against using Propoful, once she learned that it should never be administered outside a hospital setting.

However, Lee has said that, four days before Jackson’s passing, a staffer made a frantic phone call to her on June 21, saying that the pop star was begging  for the powerful sedative, indicating that he will pay any money to get eight hours sleep.

Lee  said that, in the phone call, she could hear the pop star in the background and it was her belief that someone had given Jackson something.    Her advice was that he should go directly to the hospital.

Propoful, also known as Diprivan, is used in hospitals and administered intraveinously to induce anesthesia in patients.   It is often used in putting patients to sleep prior to undergoing surgery, but could be deadly if not administered in the right doses or combined with other drugs.

In another major development on Wednesday, Jackson’s will was filed with a Los Angeles court.

The pop star’s will nominates his mother, Katherine Jackson, 79, as the guardian of his children and in a stunning revelation, former supreme, Diana Ross, is named as the back-up guardian.

The will also reveals that he deliberately and intentionally omitted to provide anything for his former wife, Debbie Rowe.

Also, Jackson’s father, Joe, is not mentioned in the will.

Jackson’s will, prepared in 2002,  puts his assets at $500,000 million and are to be placed in the Michael Jackson Family Trust, sources familar with the document say.
