Miami to host National Women’s Conference on Urban Leadership

An inaugural women’s leadership conference will be held in Miami next month for women in leadership roles in urban settings all over the country.  The conference, hosted by Los Angeles based Urban Youth Workers Institute (UYWI), will be held June 3-5 and is entitled “The RE: Conference”.

In its inaugural year, this unique conference defines itself as the “unconference.”  The idea behind “The RE:” is to be a weekend of connection and growth for women serving in the urban context or in organizations addressing urban issues.  The event presents three days of opportunities to connect, learn from, and share with other women leaders at the conference which will be held at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa.

Dynamic leaders will be in attendance including Dr. Debbye Turner, former Miss America, who will address participants as the keynote speaker.

Women interested in attending can take advantage of the registration rate of $150 for all three days (meals included).  The Doral Golf Resort & Spa has partnered with UYWI to offer participants of The RE: conference at a rate of $115 per night*.  Space is limited and interested individuals are encouraged to register for the conference by visiting http://www.thereconference.com or by calling 540-589-3783.
