Seventy-six Miami police officers are suing the city and other parties saying they were misled about their pensions benefits and have lost out of tens of millions of dollars, the Miami Herald reported.
The group, led by police lieutenants Jorge Castro and David Patino, Sgt. Nestor Garcia and officer Francisco Casanovas, said administrators encouraged them to enter the early-retirement program known as DROP or face the loss of pension benefits. They say, that advise was incorrect.
