These 16 Florida Republican lawmakers assisted in shutting down the government on Tuesday, the first time in nearly 20 years.
Republican Rep. Daniel Webster (Florida’s 10th Congressional District), one of the 16 who had no problem helping to shut down the government appears to be taking a lot of heat. A look at his website reveals even his supporters are unhappy with how he voted in Congress. Here’s a sampling of reaction:
I voted you into office and now you`re going to impact my ability to pay my mortgage tomorrow. Your actions along with the rest of congress is going to cost me late fees because you are against the ACA that we all voted for and the Supreme Court upheld. You sir will not get my vote in the next general election.
And another person wrote:
I am a FORMER (almost life-long) Republican; now a registered Independent. The Grand Ole Party (GOP) is rapidly becoming the Great OBSOLETE Party…and Sir, with all due respect, so are you.
