Dreamfield Sports, an Orlando-based technology startup and the premier marketplace allowing collegiate athletes to profit from their “NIL” (Name, Image and Likeness), has officially launched Mission Control at UCF. By using crowdsourcing of fan contributions to create unique fan and athlete engagements, University of Central Florida athletes will be engaged to participate in the promotion of the organization itself to help raise brand awareness, and also do live in person and virtual events with UCF fans of all ages.
Mission Control wants to build on the already established UCF community. More fan engagement leads to a better community experience, higher ticket and merchandise sales for the University, and an overall better full athlete experience.
“As UCF prepares to enter the Big 12, we at Dreamfield, where most of us are UCF alumni, did not want to sit back and wait for others so we took matters into our own hands and created Mission Control,” said McKenzie Milton, former UCF quarterback and Dreamfield co-founder. “We want to start getting as many compliant deals through Mission Control in the hands of our current UCF athletes as possible, all while creating fun family-friendly fanfare.”
The first planned calendar of events for Mission Control members and current UCF athletes was set for March 1st. Mission Control will focus on building unique fan engagements and experiences, one-of-a-kind NFT’s, youth camps, and intimate private small gatherings with your favorite UCF athletes from all sports.
“Mission Control is groundbreaking because it is wholly owned by Dreamfield, an experienced platform in compensating athletes for the use of their name, image, and likeness, all while being supported by the UCF fanbase, not mega-donors,” said Luis Pardillo, Dreamfield CEO. “Our Dreamfield technology and expertise will make Mission Control the most efficient and compliant USO in the entire NCAA.”
The inaugural Mission Control event was held in January at BurgerU and featured UCF football stars Isaiah Bowser, Sam Jackson, Anthony Montalvo, and Alex Ward after the same group announced their return to UCF for their final collegiate football season. Over 250 people attended the event which was hosted by UCF football legend McKenzie Milton and Dreamfield.
“Our mission is to have UCF athletes use their name, image, and likeness to not just to promote commercial products, but to create something special for UCF fans,” Milton added.
