Mayor Triplett named Seminole County’s ‘Elected Official of the Year’

Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett was awarded Seminole County’s Elected Official of the Year at the 1st Annual Tri-County League of Cities Distinguished Service Awards Gala held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida.

“I am delighted that Mayor Triplett was recognized as the Seminole County Elected Official of the Year by his colleagues in the Tri-County League of Cities for his outstanding leadership. As the recipient of this first Distinguished Service Award, he has set a high standard for others in public service to follow,” said Marilyn E. Crotty, Executive Director, Tri-County League of Cities.

The Tri-County League of Cities members consists of the 22 cities within the Orange, Seminole, and Osceola County region. The purpose of the Tri-County League is to work together to maintain and improve the quality of life in the area and to foster greater civic awareness among all citizens of the respective cities within the Tri-County area.

“I am humbled and honored to have been nominated and chosen for this award. I want to personally thank the Tri-County League of Cities Board of Directors and members for their continued commitment to making our hometown communities across Central Florida a better place for all generations to live both now and in the future,” said Mayor Jeff Triplett.
