Two suspects remain at large and a third is in custody, after an Orange County deputy opened fire during an attempted armed robbery of a Circle K on Sunday.

Deputies responded to the Circle K, located at 7530 Forest City Road, shortly after 10:00 p.m, after spotting a suspicious vehicle close by.

Upon approaching the vehicle, one suspect fled from it toward the Circle K, as a deputy chased on foot.

Once near the Circle K, a masked suspect exited the store and pointed a firearm at deputies. One of the deputies, Deputy Pablo Santiago, fired but missed hitting the suspect who then ran back into the store. This suspect, identified as Brandon Long, 24, eventually came out and was arrested.

Investigators say, in the melee, two other suspects fled and are still at large.

A gun was recovered at the scene which, according to deputies, had been stolen out of Seminole County.

The suspicious vehicle was stolen out of Volusia County.
