In a new motion filed on Tuesday in the much-publicized Trayvon Martin case, George Zimmerman’s defense claims that Martin was high on marijuana when Zimmerman shot him.

Zimmerman’s lawyers say they want to introduce toxicology results from Martin’s autopsy that show THC, a key component of marijuana, in his bloodstream, Clickorlando.com reports.

The new motion, written by defense lawyer Donald West, says the defense plans to argue that, “it is likely that Trayvon Martin was under the influence of marijuana at the time of his death and that his thinking and judgment were impaired at least to some degree.”
