Marion County Man Won $500,000 with Jackpot Triple Play Quick Pick Ticket

The Florida Lottery recently announced that Richard Molk, of Ocala, claimed the $500,000 prize from a Jackpot Triple Play drawing.

The Marion County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $315,605.

Molk purchased his jackpot-winning JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY Quick Pick ticket from Diamond Oil, located at 10801 Southwest 91st Avenue in Ocala. The retailer received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the winning ticket.

He claimed the winnings at the Lottery’s Gainesville District Office. It was a prize from the August 13, 2024 jackpot drawing.

For $1, JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY players get a triple chance to win the jackpot, as each ticket comes with three sets of numbers to match with the winning numbers drawn. Players can choose six numbers from 1 to 46 for the first set, and the second set will be randomly Quick Picked. Jackpots start at $250,000 and can roll over to reach $2 million before rolling down to increase the lower-prize levels in each drawing until the jackpot is won. Players win by matching three or more numbers from the same set to the winning numbers drawn. Players can get an extra chance to win by combining all matches on the ticket by adding Combo for $1 more.

Since its inception in 2019, JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY has awarded more than $155.57 million in prizes, created 67 jackpot winners, and generated more than $117.28 million for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
