Man who intervened in fight shot dead in Orlando

A man was shot dead in the parking lot of a shopping plaza on North Pine Hills Road, Orlando police said.

The deceased is 21-year-old Clausell A. Stevens, Jr.

Police also said, before Stevens was killed, a fight had occurred in which he intervened.  He was shot by an unknown suspect described as one of the black males that was involved in the altercation.

Stevens was found around 8:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the shopping plaza located in the 4500 block of N. Pine Hills Road.

It is not clear if a suspect in Stevens’ murder has been identified.
