A Winter Haven man has been arrested, accused of hiring a hit man to kill his wife, Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced Wednesday.
Vincent Abraham Madhavath, 43, was arrested and charged with one count of solicitation to commit murder and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Working on a tip, FDLE agents began investigating Madhavath two-months period ago.
Madhavath met with an undercover agent on three separate occasions to discuss the murder of a female. Eventually, he revealed that the target of the hit was his wife and offered to pay the undercover agent $15,000 for her murder.
Today, Madhavath met the undercover agent in Fort Mead and handed over $5,000 as a down-payment for his wife’s murder.
Madhavath and the undercover agent discussed a staged home invasion in which the undercover agent was to physically assault Madhavath and kill his wife.
He was apprehended after he left the meeting spot with the undercover agent.
Madhavath was booked into the Polk County Jail.
