On December 29, 2009 at approximately 12:15 AM Orange County Deputies responded to a residence in North Orange County (Lockhart area) in reference to an aggravated battery. Upon arrival deputies made contact with a seriously injured 37 year old white male laying the front yard of the home. The man appeared to have been cut on his hand with a sharp edged weapon and struck on the head with a blunt object.
Deputies also made contact with a 36 year old white female outside the residence who appeared to have serious lacerations to one of her hands. Both victims were transported to ORMC by Orange County Fire Rescue where they continue to receive treatment for what have been described as serious but not life threatening injuries.
At this time deputies are actively searching for 38 year old John Patrick Crimins who is reported to be the ex-boyfriend of the female victim. Investigators believe he is responsible for the attacks however they have not provided a motive. Suspect Crimins was arrested on 08.03.09 and charged with domestic battery for attacking the same female victim at the residence of this morning’s incident.
After the attacks witnesses reported seeing suspect Crimins left the scene in a red Chevrolet pickup truck. While the battery scene was being processed the suspect’s truck was located in the parking lot of a 7-11 at SR414 and Rose Avenue.
The victims who were attacked are Jason Warren and Moriah Mace. Both are recovering from serious injuries at this time.

A four year old girl, reported to be the daughter of the female victim, was inside the home at the time of the attacks. She was not injured in the incident and is with a family member.
