The Orange County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a man for soliciting sex from a minor online, after he traveled from Naples to Orlando today, to meet with whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl for consensual sex.
Over the past few days a Sexual Offender Squad (S.O.S.) Investigator posed as a 14 year old female online when the investigator was contacted by the defendant. Over the course of two days, the defendant continued to contact the investigator via the internet and text messages. During this time, the suspect sent photographs of what he claimed was his exposed penis.
On February 9th the suspect solicited the undercover investigator for sex and traveled from the Naples, Florida area to the Orlando area in order to meet the alleged 14 year old female for consensual sex. Upon arriving, the suspect was arrested by the Sexual Offender Surveillance Squad for Soliciting a Minor via the Internet for Sex (Felony) and Transmitting Harmful Material to a Minor (Felony).
The defendant is Clivian Perez, 27 years.
The Sexual Offender Surveillance Squad said it will continue these aggressive types of investigations and pursue offenders, especially those trolling the various internet web sites frequently by child predators.
