A 27-year-old man was struck and killed on Saturday while attempting to cross Colonial Driver near Murdock Boulevard in Orange County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Dhiren Nayee, 27, of Orlando, was attempting to cross Colonial Drive from the south side to the north, when he was struck by a Toyota pick up.
Troopers say, Nayee walked into the direct path of the pick up that was heading eastbound on Colonial Drive. Toxicology results are being awaited to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, which happened just before 4:25 a.m.
Adam Meyers, 29, the driver of the pick up, was not hurt.
Troopers say, the crash remains under investigation.
