A man was killed on Orange County’s east side early on Wednesday morning while attempting to cross the road way, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said, the 55-year-old man was attempting to cross Goldenrod Road near State Road 408, when he walked into the direct path of a vehicle traveling southbound in the outside lane.
Taylor Castrianni, 22, the driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry, struck the man who was thrown onto the windshield. Troopers say, the man was also propelled forward onto the ground.
The unnamed man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Castrianni suffered minor injuries.
Troopers said, the crash which happened just before 2:00 a.m., Wednesday, remains under investigation.
