Man Stabbed in Upscale Bay Hill Area, Dies

 

A man who was stabbed on Thursday, then crashed his car into a power pole in the upscale Brentwood Club subdivision near Bay Hill, has died.

25-year-old Richard Luyo, succumbed to his injuries, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said Monday.   Deputies also said, the case has now been transferred to the Homicide Unit.

Luyo was stabbed by an unnamed suspect around 4:00 p.m. last Thursday, after a fight broke out in a home in the 9800 block of Camberly Court.

Luyo, who attempted to drive away, crashed into a power pole. Detectives found him bleeding profusely in the crashed vehicle, with his 6-year-old child in the back seat. He was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators said, Luyo was known to his attacker.

Authorities have not released the name of the suspect, although he has been identified.
