Man Shows Two Handguns then Robs Jewelry Store on OBT

Orange County deputies are searching for a suspect who robbed a jewelry store on south Orange Blossom Trail on Sunday.

Investigators said, a man entered the Burlington Coat Factory at 8204 S. Orange Blossom Trail, just after 11:00 a.m., and approached Ultra Diamonds located inside.  He pretended to be a customer interested in buying jewelry, but after 10 minutes lifted his shirt and showed a clerk two semi-automatic handguns in his waistband and demanded jewelry.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of jewelry and left the store on foot, heading in a southerly direction.

Investigators also said, the suspect was seen with a person of interest just prior to the robbery.
