An apparent home invasion on Martinville Court off E. Colonial Drive on Tuesday night, left a man suffering from a gunshot wound and a bullet hole in a neighboring house.
Emanuel Giraldo told deputies he was the victim of a shooting following a home invasion at 1622 Martinville Court, just before mid-night on Tuesday.
Deputies arrived at a home nearby – 1628 Martinville Court – to find a bullet hold located in a window of that residence. The occupants told investigators they were asleep and were unaware of bullet hole.
Investigators, conducting an area check of neighboring homes, found the front door of 1622 Martinville Court wide open and a significant amount of blood on the ground.
Today, deputies met with Giraldo, who was taken to Florida Hospital East, by friends.
Deputies say, Giraldo is unwilling to testify.
