Deputies are investigating a shooting incident that left a man dead on Neuse Avenue in Orange County, early on Friday.
Investigators were called to 847 Neuse Avenue, off Lee Road around 3:30 a.m. today, and found Arthur Allain, 30, deceased. Allain, a white male, had been shot dead outside the residence.
Deputies believe that Allain and the shooter were known to each other and that the shooting was as a result of a recent altercation.
Investigators have released few details of the murder, including the shooter’s identity.
It is not clear whether the shooting was the result of domestic violence.
