A man so desperate for health care, recently robbed a bank of $1.00 in order to go to jail and get medical coverage.
James Richard Verone, who played by the rules all his life, was in need of medical attention, after being denied any sort of coverage by the federal government.
So, Verone took matters into his own hands, drove to a local RBC Bank, passed a note to the teller, and in perhaps the most peaceful bank robbery, demanded one dollar and medical attention.
Verone chose prison over pain.  What a shame, America!
