A man was robbed and shot by two males inside a convenience store near north Hiawassee Road and Silver Star Road on Friday.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies say, a man, in his 20s, was confronted by two black males around 1:30 p.m., inside the bathroom of the J Mart store at 2620 north Hiawassee Road. The suspects robbed the victim and then shot him in the upper body.
The victim, who was alert and conscious at the scene when investigators arrived, was transported to ORMC with non-life threatening injuries.
A description of the suspects is sketchy. The suspects are described as two black males, with one possibly wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and the other, armed with a small handgun.
Deputies have not released the name of the victim.
