A man was shot to death in the parking lot of a 7 Eleven Store on Lee Road early on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as William Stark, a 27-year-old white male.
Orange County investigators said, another white man, Jonathan Martin, 41, entered the 7 Eleven Store located at 851 Lee Road around 5:00 a.m. to make a purchase. Â As he returned to his vehicle, Stark approached him and asked for money. Â Martin told Stark he had none.
Martin told investigators that, as he got into his vehicle to leave the parking lot, he was attacked by Stark. He also told deputies that he took out a handgun and shot Stark in the chest.
Martin returned to the 7 Eleven Store and told the clerk to call the police. Â He remained on the scene until deputies arrived.
Stark was taken to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies said, the investigation is ongoing.
