An Orlando man, named as a person of interest in the shooting deaths of his parents last week, appears to have taken his own life.

Sean Petrozzino, 30, was named a person of interest following the deaths of his parents, Nancy Petrozzino, 64, and Michael Petrozzino, 63, whose bodies were found last Tuesday, in a home in the 13000 block of Heming Way, off Curry Ford Road.

Since the double murders, investigators have been unable to locate Sean Petrozzino.

Last night, in Memphis, Tennessee, just before 6:00 p.m., police initiated a traffic stop on a 2012 Toyota Camry making an illegal u-turn, similar to what Sean Petrozzino was driving.  As officers approached the vehicle, they heard a faint “pop”. A 30-year-old male driver – handless and legless – was found deceased from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound. A pistol was found inside the Camry.

Memphis police won’t confirm if the deceased is Sean Petrozzino, a quadruple amputee.  But, on Tuesday, Orange County deputies were headed to Memphis to continue their investigation.

News reports out of Memphis said Sean Petrozzino shot and killed himself during a traffic stop, as officers approached his vehicle.

This is a developing story. Check back later for more.
