Man Killed in High Speed Crash on John Young Parkway

A Kissimmee man was killed early on Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on John Young Parkway in Orange County and speed could have played a role.

Troopers say, Henry Lee Carson, 29, was heading southbound on John Young Parkway near Taft Vineland Road, when he failed to negotiate a right bend in the roadway.

Carson, who was driving a 2008 Nissan Titan, entered the grassy center median, overcorrected steering to the right. The vehicle ended up hitting a tree on the west shoulder of the roadway.

Carson, who was heavily entrapped within the vehicle, died on the scene, troopers say.

Troopers also say, toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol also played a role in the crash.
