Troopers are continuing their investigation into an overturned vehicle on US 192 in Osceola that left one of the occupants dead.
20-year-old Shawn Carlson died on the spot after the Ford 150 in which he was traveling, left the roadway and overturned. Carlson was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased by the medical examiner.
The crash occurred on US 192 near Sapling Lane on Sunday, around 4:00 a.m.
Troopers are not sure whether Carlson was driving the 2006 Ford 150 which was traveling eastbound or the other occupant, 21-year-old Sean Attwood, of Melbourne.
Attwood suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Holmes Hospital.
Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
Neither Carlson nor Attwood was wearing seat-belts.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
