A Kissimmee man who was driving his 2003 Mitsubishi at a high rate of speed was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Osceola County on Thursday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m.
The unnamed driver was heading westbound on I-4, exiting onto the eastbound ramp to US-192, when he traveled off the road and struck a bridge, before his vehicle burst into flames.
The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released, pending confirmation of a medical identification.
Troopers said that toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the accident.
