A Florida man was indicted on first-degree murder for stabbing his wife to death in the roadway.
The Flagler County grand jury heard the case of Jermaine Williams Sr. The defendant is accused of stabbing his wife to death in the roadway near their Bunnell home on August 2nd. The victim died from her injuries at the hospital.
The indictment was handed down and Williams was charged with First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon).
“In the Seventh Judicial Circuit, one in five murders we prosecute are domestic related,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza said. “As a community, we must continue creating and providing resources to empower, assist and protect domestic violence survivors. Otherwise, the death and despair domestic violence breeds will go unanswered.”
The case was investigated by the Bunnell Police Department with assistance from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Dunton is the prosecutor assigned to the homicide case.
