A 24-year-old man was indicted for first degree murder for shooting a woman and leaving her baby to die in a car in Orlando.
Last week, an Orange County grand jury formally indicted Doujon Griffiths for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm), First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) and three counts of Shooting at, within, or into a Building.
Just after 5am on September 7, 2021, Griffiths shot and killed a woman in a vehicle after shooting and injuring a man. 20-year-old Massania Malcolm was shot while inside a friend’s car outside their apartment on Lake Heritage Circle.
Griffiths left the woman’s baby, 1-year-old daughter Jordania, in the vehicle without calling for help. The vehicle was discovered two days later in a parking lot on Lake Ellenor Drive with the one-year-old child dead inside.
The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure indictments against Griffiths.
