A man died in police custody early on Wednesday morning, after jumping to his death, Orlando police said.

Police responded to investigate a hit and run call at 6401 Times Square Avenue and eventually were led to an apartment at 3250 Corona Village Way at the Hamptons in MetroWest.

Investigators say, both the driver and passenger involved in the hit and run were located.  Both appeared to be under the influence of some unknown substances, according to police.

The men had active warrants to include home invasion robbery, aggravated battery with a weapon and aggravated assault and they were placed under arrest.
