An Orlando man is in critical condition after he was run over by his girlfriend in a Honda Civic on Sunday morning.
25-year-old Christina Santiago, of Fern Park told troopers that she and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Joel Santos, of Orlando, had a verbal argument around 4:00 am.
Troopers said, at some point, Santos laid on the ground in front of the Honda Civic Santiago was driving.
Santiago began to travel west in the parking lot of the Windmill Point Condominiums at 2503 Alafaya Trail.
The vehicle stopped on top of Santos and a jack had to be used to lift the car off him, troopers said.
Santos was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. Troopers said, Santos had consumed alcohol.
Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether Santiago was also drinking.
Santiago and a passenger in the Honda, 26-year-old Gloribeth Santiago were not injured.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
