A 26-year-old man is in stable condition after being hit by the driver of a car fleeing the scene of an exchange of gunfire on Wednesday afternoon.
The exchange of gunfire happened in the 400 block of Jernigan Avenue in the Parramore area downtown Orlando.
Investigators say, two unknown men fired shots at each other and when one of them attempted to leave the area that’s when 26-year-old Johnny Gurrier was hit by the vehicle.
Police found Gurrier lying on the ground when they arrived on the scene. Several eyewitnesses believed he had been shot prior to being hit by the fleeing vehicle, police say.
