Deputies have identified the man who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a busy strip mall on Orange County’s east side on Friday afternoon.
The deceased is 20-year-old Stephen Thibirge.
Thibirge, along with another unnamed man, was gunned down in the University Oaks Plaza parking lot near the intersection of Dean Road and University Boulevard around 2:00 p.m.
Investigators found Thibirge dead at the scene. The other man shot was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, with critical injuries. His current condition is unknown.
Deputies have not said what might have motivated the shootings, although, according to news reports, there was a fight over a woman before the gunfire took place.
